Elderberry Wine

Elderberry wine without sulftes added! Kosher, natrual wine.

This elder berry mead wine is more like grape than Honey Run's other varieties, and is on the sweet side. It has been refered to as "instant port" by numerous tasters. Our winemaker enjoys Elderberry Honey wine by itself, or with a splash of blackberry grappa (brandy could be substituted).

Elderberry Honey wine should retain its fruity flavor for up to a year, or longer if kept cool i.e. cellar temperature. We have tasted bottles that were kept under the stairs for two years, and they were fabulous! We still have not discovered how long before our Elderberry mead goes over the hill.
